Teresa Victory, owner and operator, created Victory Performance Centre in 2017 when she first moved to New Zealand. The intention was to broaden the community and its love of dance and performing. It combines Teresa’s skills and training in Dance, Pilates and Physiotherapy.

Teresa gained her Physiotherapy Degree from the Australian Catholic University in 2013. She has practiced as a registered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in private practices in Brisbane, Australia, Auckland and Tauranga, New Zealand. Teresa has provided physiotherapy services to national touring theatre companies at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre for musicals “Anything Goes” and “Strictly Ballroom” and international performers at the Civic Theatre in Auckland for the musical “Book of Mormon”.

In 2020, Teresa Victory attained her comprehensive Polestar Pilates certificate, one of the two internationally accredited qualifications. She is now studying to become a mentor of this Pilates method.

Teresa’s main passion is dance. She began dance classes at the age of 5 at Julie-ann Lucas School of Dance in Brisbane and continued her practice of dance at the Queensland Dance School of Excellence under the mentorship of the Queensland Ballet. Achieving her RAD Advanced 2 Ballet Levels and Teaching  Diplomas in CSTD Tap and Jazz.

Teresa Victory has worked for the Brisbane Broncos NRL Cheer Squad for two seasons with ‘K Entertainment’, performed with ‘Legs 11 Entertainment’ for their Chorus Show and with ‘Artistic Management’ for promotional work. In 2016 she worked internationally as a dancer and background character in India with ‘Glow Show Entertainment India’ for many music videos, films and weddings.

The Victory vision is that the studio will incorporate Teresa’s three passions of dance, pilates and physiotherapy under one roof. She aims to take an active role in teaching and mentoring these disciplines. Ultimately her goal is to create a thriving studio, but continue to provide personal care and sense of community. Teresa also offers private sessions and tailored programs to our students within the realms of dance, Pilates and physiotherapy. As well as classes, workshops and continuing development opportunities for the wider community.
